Cable verification checks physical connectivity, wire map and continuity, using a basic cable tester. It confirms that the cable is physically connected but does not measure electrical performance. Why the Distinction Matters for Specifiers

A project specification that says 'test and certify all Cat6 outlets to ISO/IEC 11801 Class E' is a requirement for certification, not verification. Submitting verification records (wire map only) against this specification is a non-conformance. It is the equivalent of a client specifying a concrete strength of 40 N/mm² and the contractor submitting a photograph of the concrete rather than a test cube result.

IEC 61935-1 certification test results are only valid if the field tester is within its calibration period. If a field tester is used outside its calibration period, the test results are not compliant with IEC 61935-1. Test records produced with an out-of-calibration instrument are not accepted for CNET warranty registration.
